Key · battery maintenance
Six major items of protecting the "heart"
1. Correctly grasp the charging time
Generally speaking, the first three charging times of a new battery can be controlled within 8 ~ 12 hours, and then 6 ~ 8 hours. You don't need to charge every time you ride. You know, "overcharge" will reduce the service life of the battery. If the driving mileage is short and the power consumption is small, do not charge it first.
2. Long term storage without power is strictly prohibited
Power loss means that the battery is not charged in time after use. If the battery is stored in the state of power loss for a long time, it is prone to sulfation. The lead sulfate crystal is attached to the electrode plate, which will block the electric ion channel, resulting in insufficient charging and reduced battery capacity.
The longer the power loss state is idle, the more serious the battery damage is. Therefore, when the battery is idle, it should be recharged once a month, which can better maintain the healthy state of the battery.
3. Avoid high current discharge
High current discharge can easily lead to lead sulfate crystallization, which will damage the physical properties of the battery plate. Therefore, when the electric tricycle starts, carries people and goes uphill, pay attention to stable discharge and try to avoid instantaneous high current discharge.
4. Avoid heating the plug when charging
Looseness of charger output plug and oxidation of contact surface will lead to heating of charging plug, which may cause short circuit and directly damage the charger. In case of the above situation, the plug shall be pulled out in time to remove the oxide attached on it or replace the connector.
5. Prevent prolonged exposure
The environment with too high temperature will increase the internal pressure of the battery, resulting in the automatic opening of the pool pressure limiting valve, which will directly cause excessive water loss of the battery for a long time. This will lead to the decline of battery activity, accelerate the softening of electrode plate, heat of shell during charging, bulging and deformation of shell and other fatal damage.
6. Regular inspection is necessary
If the driving range of the vehicle suddenly drops by more than ten kilometers in a short time, it may be that at least one battery in the battery pack has short circuit phenomena such as grid breaking, plate softening, plate active material falling off, etc. At this time, you should go to the professional battery repair organization for inspection, repair or assembly in time. This can relatively prolong the service life of the battery pack.
